SCAS Fellow Isaac Kalimi Has Been Elected Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy for
Overseas Sciences

SCAS Fellow Isaac Kalimi, who is in residence at the Collegium during the academic year 2014-15, has
been elected Corresponding Member of the Section of Human Sciences of the Royal Academy for
Overseas Sciences in Belgium. The appointment will take effect after the ratification by ministerial decree.

Kalimi is Gutenberg Research Professor of Hebrew Bible/ Old Testament Studies and the History of Ancient
Israel at the Gutenberg Forschungskolleg, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, as well as Senior Research
Associate at the University of Chicago.
